چکیده

In this study, multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and double-wall (DWCNTs) have been dispersed in polylactide (PLA) polyamide 11 (PA11) using an internal mixer. Rheological characterization confirmed the formation of nanotube (CNT) networks PLA PA11 attributed to well-dispersed CNTs respective matrices. A lower rheological percolation threshold PLA/MWCNT nanocomposites (less than 0.5 wt. %) compared PA11/MWCNT (about 2 greater affinity for PLA. The DWCNTs was below % between 1 PA11. PLA-based also showed higher electrical conductivity values PA11-based nanocomposites. Nanocomposites containing exhibited conductivities those MWCNTs due aspect ratio DWCNTs. Dynamic mechanical thermal analysis enhanced storage modulus reduced damping behavior with increasing content both polymers.

investigation of the electronic properties of carbon and iii-v nanotubes

boron nitride semiconducting zigzag swcnt, $b_{cb}$$n_{cn}$$c_{1-cb-cn}$, as a potential candidate for making nanoelectronic devices was examined. in contrast to the previous dft calculations, wherein just one boron and nitrogen doping configuration have been considered, here for the average over all possible configurations, density of states (dos) was calculated in terms of boron and nitrogen ...

Electronic structure of single-wall, multiwall, and filled carbon nanotubes

We determine the electronic structure of single-wall, multiwall, and filled carbon nanotubes using the local-density-functional formalism. In order to handle these extremely inhomogeneous systems of nested graphene cylinders with 10–10 valence electrons, we adopt a technique that discretizes the eigenvalue problem on a grid and yields simultaneously all occupied and unoccupied states. We apply ...
